          India's  2nd  largest  Airline  operator  SpiceJet  was
          affected by ransomware in May 2022, and many of the
          flights  got  canceled,  disrupting  their  business
          operations.  SpiceJet  was  forced  to  suspend  flights
          which resulted in delays.
          The  newest  Indian  Airline,  Akasa  Air,  faced  a  Data
          breach in Aug 2022, where its user information, such as
          name, email ID, phone numbers, travel info, payment
          info,  etc.,  was  compromised.  All  this  personal
          information  was  available  for  unauthorized  users  to
          view.


                                                         BFSI


                                                         The  BFSI  industry  is  the  most  prone  to  Cyberattacks  as
                                                         financial gain is the ultimate reward.
                                                         India's BFSI sector was Asia's top target for Cybercriminals.
                                                         Cybercriminals used Trojans, Ransomware, Botnets, DDoS
                                                         attacks, Phishing & Spear-phishing as attack vectors.

                                                         According  to  CloudSEK,  the  Indian  BFSI  sector  recorded
                                                         283  Cyber  incidents  in  Q1  of  2022,  as  compared  to  469
                                                         Cyber incidents in 12 months in 2021.
                                                         According to an Indusface report, 51 % of Indian Insurance
                                                         sites suffered from DDoS attacks.

                                                         A total of 49,844,877 cyberattacks were recorded on 114
                                                         insurance sector websites. On average, insurance sector
                                                         applications faced 430,000 attacks each, which is close to
                                                         the overall average of 450,000 attacks per app across all
                                                         industries, according to the Indusface report.

       Manufacturing


        Industrial  companies  like  chemical  processing,

        engineering, and manufacturing paid the highest for data
        breaches.

        In  the  first  quarter  of  2022,  approximately  304  Indian
        accounts  were  being  breached  by  the  minute.  As  of
        August 2022, India's data breach rate was a staggering
        740% higher than in Q1, which is alarming.

        51% of manufacturing companies in India faced a cloud
        infra cyberattack, as per Netwrix 2022 CSR report.
